One Year, Four Positions

The fellowship program offers specialized training at a state-of-the-art wound care center and hyperbaric oxygen therapy program.

About Our Program

St. John's Episcopal Hospital's Wound Care and Tissue Healing Fellowship is a 12-month program beginning on July 1. The program offers a hospital and clinic environment with on-site hyperbaric medicine.

Fellows are given the opportunity to work with various departments throughout the hospital, such as infectious disease, dermatology, and general, vascular, and podiatric surgery.

Authorized Positions: 4

  • Must be a graduate of a three-year CPME-approved residency
  • Visa accepted (H1 or J1)

Salaries and Benefits:

  • $1000 Academic stipend
  • $1000 Conference allowance
  • Hyperbaric Therapy Certificate
  • White coats and scrubs
  • Meal allowance- $110 per month
  • 4 Weeks of vacation, 12 sick days, and 4 personal days
  • Medical, dental, optical, and Rx insurance
  • PGY 4-Level salary

Rotations

  • Infectious Disease- 2 weeks
  • Dermatology- 2 weeks
  • Hyperbaric therapy training- 1 week

Academia

  • Bi-weekly wound care text book presentation
  • Bi-weekly case presentations
  • "E-present" online lectures
  • Attending lecture series
  • Journal and lecture series at New York-Presbyterian Queens
  • 1 Research project is required (quality consistent for publication)
