The type of cancer you have may pose challenges for you to continue doing everyday tasks such as getting dressed or caring for your children. The Episcopal Health Services (EHS) Cancer Center on the Rockaway Peninsula is here to help you maintain or restore these abilities through occupational therapy.

The role of occupational therapy in oncology is to facilitate and enable an individual patient to achieve maximum functional performance, both physically and psychologically, in everyday living skills regardless of his or her life expectancy. Our occupational therapy specialists make that possible, meeting with you to better understand what your performance was before diagnosis, look at the loss of strength or motion you have experienced, and work with you on a plan that achieves your goals.
