Treatment is customized and delivered by a multidisciplinary team of experts all focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for each patient.

A Commitment to Providing Quality Diabetes Care

Led by Sheldon Markowitz, MD, Chief of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, the EHS Endocrinology Clinic’s multidisciplinary team, comprised of endocrinologists, nephrologists, nurse practitioners and support staff, delivers customized care plans to help patients effectively manage their diabetes symptoms.

Each treatment plan is developed through extensive patient consultations and diagnostic blood tests to assess disease severity and symptom presentation. Based on their findings, the multidisciplinary team will recommend appropriate nutrition and exercise strategies, medications and evidence-based techniques to bring symptoms and related complications under control.

Through evaluation and implementation of advances in diabetes research, diagnosis and treatment, the team offers patients more options for effective symptom management. These include the latest medications, continuous glucose monitors and hyperbaric oxygen therapy for non-healing wounds such as food ulcers to ensure that each patient achieves the best possible outcomes.
