Organizational Wellness

Virgin Pulse App for Team Members

Virgin Pulse is a wellbeing resource offered to all Episcopal Health Services Team Members. Move through levels as you earn points for the healthy choices you make each day.

Recharge Room

The Recharge Room incorporates a sense of control and privacy, and provides a sense of control and privacy, social support and opportunities for meaningful connection, access to nature and positive distractions (wildlife, water, soothing sounds), and environmental comfort by removing physical and ambient stressors. Users are treated to calming scents, light, soundscapes, and a massage in a state-of-the-art electronic massage chair.

A single occupancy, electronic device-free space, the Recharge Room is available 24/7 for all team members once per 24-hour period.

Lactation Room Available for Team Members

The Team Member Lactation Room is designed to provide our breastfeeding team members with a private and comfortable space to express breast milk. Located on the 7th Floor in Room 739, the Lactation Room is open 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. The space is equipped with a refrigerator for storage and privacy curtains.

Team Member Warm Line

For people who are struggling to find support, especially when working in difficult and emotionally taxing fields such as healthcare, the Warm Line will allow team members to discuss their experiences, traumas and difficulties.

The Warm Line is a private, free service for all EHS Team Members, managed by a licensed Employee Health Specialist who will assess your situation and determine how best to assist you.

The Warm Line can help to provide access to services for people who may not be comfortable seeking counseling or other therapy services. There is a wide range of confidential topics callers may wish to discuss, such as (but not limited to):

  • Feelings of loneliness and isolation
  • Stress
  • Conflicts with friends or coworkers
  • Mental illness
  • Substance abuse
  • Death
  • Trauma

Code Comfort and Pastoral Care Line

Code Comfort and Pastoral Care Line is a hospital initiative led by the Pastoral Care Department to address Team Members’ emotional conflict, provides resources for stress management, and helps team members return to homeostasis. The Pastoral Care department makes rounds to individual departments daily.

Additionally, as an incoming Team Member, our Peoples Operations team can provide new
team members with information on financial and nutritional resources available within the
hospital to help individuals remain a priority as they balance their work and personal life.
