St. John’s Dialysis Center Awarded for Excellent Care

Posted on October 3, 2018

FAR ROCKAWAY, 2018—Wednesday, October 3, St. John’s Episcopal Hospital’s Marjorie Basser Dialysis Center received the IPRO End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Network of New York Quality Recognition Award for ESRD Quality Incentive Program Achievement: Arteriovenous Fistula/Graft. This award recognizes institutions that have a high instance of using Arteriovenous Fistula (AVF) instead of a Catheter, which is considered to be a less-than-ideal approach for dialysis patients. The award was granted by the End-Stage Renal Disease Network of New York and recognizes outstanding performance by healthcare providers and patient representatives across New York State.

“We are all very proud of the staff at the Marjorie Basser Center and are glad to see that their efforts are being recognized in the New York State healthcare community,” said St. John’s CEO, Gerard Walsh. “We are excited to continue to provide all of our patients with excellent levels of care.”

Congratulations to all of the staff members in the Marjorie Basser Dialysis Center for all of their hard work!
