St. John’s ICARE Foundation and St. Albans the Martyr Unite to Support the Community
Far Rockaway, New York, March 3, 2025 — St. John’s ICARE Foundation visited The Episcopal Church of St. Albans the Martyr on Sunday, Feb. 23, to recognize the church community’s ongoing support. As a valued partner, the church has played a vital role in advancing outreach initiatives that positively impact the Rockaway and Five Towns communities.
During the visit, Ceallaigh Watts, Manager of Foundation Programs and Events, expressed gratitude to the congregation and shared how their contributions continue to uplift those in need. Partnerships like these are at the heart of the St. John’s ICARE Foundation’s mission, bringing together dedicated volunteers and supporters to strengthen community programs and services.

“We truly appreciate Rev. Keith A. Voets and the entire congregation at The Episcopal Church of St. Albans the Martyr. They are strong proponents of the St. John’s Episcopal Hospital Auxiliary, along with many other congregations in Queens and Long Island, and we wouldn’t be successful without them. Their support is invaluable and we are eternally grateful,” said Nancy Leghart, Executive Director of the St. John’s ICARE Foundation.
The Episcopal Church of St. Albans the Martyr has demonstrated its commitment by donating more than 500 reading books, 1,000 menstrual products and over 300 baby items to support the foundation’s mother/baby initiative. In 2024, the church also took part in the foundation’s Adopt-A-Family program, providing holiday support to a family of nine.
The support of the St. John’s Episcopal Hospital Auxiliary is essential to the foundation’s success. To show appreciation for their ongoing contributions, visits to other auxiliary congregations are planned throughout the year.
