Jay Fenster, MD
Dr. Jay Fenster is double board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology and is the Chief of Gastroenterology at EHS. His areas of focus include pancreatitis, celiac disease, cirrhosis, constipation, diverticulosis, esophagitis, gastritis, hemorrhoids, intestinal obstruction and peptic ulcer disease. He also offers colonoscopies and endoscopies and treats abdominal pain, GERD, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and malignant neoplasm of the esophagus and colon. He is known for his dedication to helping patients experience better digestive health, while providing the care needed to prevent, diagnose and treat gastrointestinal symptoms and diseases.
He received his MD from SUNY Downstate School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Maimonides Medical Center. He is also a Member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastrointestinal Association.
