Karina Appel, MD

Dr. Karina Appel is board certified in internal medicine and is a primary care physician. She is also the Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at EHS. Her areas of focus include adult medicine, preventive care for ages 18+ and wellness care. She is known for her excellent bedside manners, professional demeanor, empathy and courtesy.

She received her MD from Iuliu Hatieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Romania. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital. She also speaks Romanian and Spanish, in addition to English.
