Mark Ashamalla, MD
Dr. Mark Ashamalla is board certified in radiation oncology with expertise in thoracic, breast, prostate, gynecologic and head and neck cancers. His areas of focus include advanced treatment techniques such as stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) and high dose-rate (HDR) brachytherapy. He also treats both malignant and benign conditions, integrating radiation therapy with immunotherapy, radiopharmaceuticals and advancing innovative technologies that enhance effectiveness, affordability and quality of life for patients throughout treatment.
He received his MD with distinction from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Albany Medical Center before pursuing a residency in Radiation Oncology at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident. He has earned multiple awards for clinical excellence and research, including recognition from the Radiological Society of North America and the American Society for Radiation Oncology.
