Hurricane Sandy Disaster Recovery Update

St. John's Episcopal Hospital continues to remain operational as it has throughout the storm and its aftermath. The Hospital continues to be at full capacity, meeting patient needs under challenging conditions. It is operating under its Emergency Operations Plans because it is still reliant upon emergency backup generators. Staff continues to work, despite personal losses of homes, cars, electricity, transportation, and fuel, demonstrating incredible commitment and dedication.

The open Ambulatory Care Clinics are:

Surgery, Dermatology, Opthalmology, Medicine, Neurology, Podiatry, New/Prenatal, Endocrinology, and Pediatrics.

For community residents seeking transportation to shelters, there are buses leaving from 101st Precinct every half hour.
