St. John's Episcopal Hospital Receives Donation for $250,000 from Development Board

Far Rockaway, NY - - - The Development Board of St. John's Episcopal Hospital presented Hospital administration with a check for $250,000 on Tuesday, January 31, 2012. The donation is the final payment on a recent Development Board pledge of $450,000 for the renovation of St. John's Emergency Department.
Following renovation, the Emergency Department will have 17 additional treatment bays for a total of 29 bays. The new Emergency Department will have a dedicated pediatric treatment area as well as a dedicated psychiatric emergency department. More than 27,000 patients visits were treated in the Emergency Department in 2010. The renovation of the Emergency Department is already underway. With the addition for four critical care beds, St. John's currently has 261 beds.
