The Wound Care Center has been serving patients at St. John’s for about 14 years. However, up until the end of 2017, it was operated by an outside independent management company. The center will provide patients with Hyperbaric Therapy, Wound Care, Debridement, Synthetic Skin Grafts, Compression Wraps, Offloading Casting, and various Podiatry services. The wound care center is equipped with two new, state-of-the-art Hyperbaric Chambers, which provide 100% oxygen saturation to patients with limb or life-threatening wounds. The new chambers provide patients with more space and comfort during their treatments.
“Wound Care has been a part of St. John’s for a long time, and we are excited to be able to take ownership of the Wound Care Center,” said Christopher Parker, Chief Operating Officer at St. John’s. “I have great confidence in the talented people that work here and their ability to increase capacity, utilize new technologies, and enhance services we provide for the community.”

Attendees were provided with a tour of the Wound Care Center and the Hyperbaric Chambers after the ribbon cutting.
The Leadership Team of the Wound Care Center at St. John’s consists of Dr. Thomas Lubeski (Driector of the Wound Care Center), Dr. Joseph Tarantino (Associate Director of the Wound Care Center) and Dr. Arnold Hertz (Podiatrist). In Dr. Lubeski’s remarks he stated that “In the entire country there are only 20 Podiatrist fellows and St. John’s has trained 4 of them.” This Wound Care Center is another sign of great changes happening at St. John’s.
