Episcopal Health Services Appoints Executive Leaders

Far Rockaway, New York, March 18, 2024 — Episcopal Health Services (EHS) is pleased to announce the appointments of Keisha-Ann Wisdom, DHA, MBA, BSN, RN, NEA-BC, as Senior Vice President of Patient Services and Chief Nursing Officer, and Tanya Barros, MA, LMHC as the Behavioral Health Service Line Administrator.

Senior Vice President of Patient Services and Chief Nursing Officer

As Senior Vice President of Patient Services and Chief Nursing Officer, Dr. Wisdom is responsible for providing executive leadership, strategic direction and management of the Nursing division to ensure the delivery of optimal and compassionate nursing care to patients.

Dr. Wisdom comes to EHS with 25+ years of experience, including 10 years in nursing leadership. Most recently, she served as Chief Nursing Officer at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. Her career includes roles at Long Island Community Hospital, Southside Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital. Dr. Wisdom received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Adelphi University, a Master’s in Business Administration from Dowling College, and a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration from the University of Virginia.

Tanya Barros, MA, LMHC

Behavioral Health Service Line Administrator

Ms. Barros brings more than 25 years of clinical and administrative expertise in community mental health, forensic psychology and cultural competency to EHS. Prior to joining EHS, Ms. Barros served as the Deputy Director of Program Operations at OHM/Creedmoor Psychiatric Center. Additionally, she held roles as Associate Executive Director of Behavioral Health & Psychiatry at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, Unit Chief of the Mental Health Center at Rikers Island, and Director of Forensic Mental Health Services at Nassau County Correctional Center/Nassau University Medical Center. Ms. Barros holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

As the Behavioral Health Service Line Administrator, Ms. Barros will be responsible for strategic oversight of all behavioral health services both inpatient and ambulatory, offered at EHS.
