New Leaders Step Into Key Roles at Episcopal Health Services
Far Rockaway, New York, February 7, 2025 — Episcopal Health Services (EHS) is pleased to announce the appointment of John Rossi as Vice President, Chief Digital Information Officer and Robert Bloise, Jr., DMSc, MS, PA-C, as Chief Quality Officer.
In his role as Vice President, Chief Digital Information Officer, Mr. Rossi will lead EHS’ digital transformation and IT modernization efforts, focusing on eliminating paper-based processes and legacy systems. He will work closely with executive leadership to develop and implement strategies to enhance electronic health records (EHR), cloud computing, cybersecurity, and advanced analytics. Mr. Rossi will also serve as a bridge between clinical, operational, and IT teams, fostering innovation, process automation, and a digital-first approach to healthcare delivery.
Mr. Rossi has 25 years of IT and information security leadership experience. He spent the past 14 years at Stamford Health, where he most recently served as Executive Director of IT & Chief Information Security Officer, a role he held for 10 years. Prior to that, he was Director of Infrastructure Services & Chief Security Officer.
Mr. Rossi has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Iona College. He is a certified Information Systems Security Professional and Six Sigma, Green Belt certified.
As Chief Quality Officer, Dr. Bloise will oversee quality and patient safety, infection prevention and control, risk management, regulatory compliance and accreditation. His work will focus on fostering a culture of high reliability, exceptional clinical care and outstanding patient outcomes.
Dr. Bloise brings nearly 10 years of experience in quality and patient safety to EHS. For the past seven years, he has served at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, most recently as Senior Director, Quality, Analytics & Patient Safety. Prior to that, he was Corporate, Director, Quality & Patient Safety.
Dr. Bloise earned a Doctorate of Medical Science degree from the University of Lynchburg, a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Touro College. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from Quinnipiac University.
