St. John’s Medical Group Welcomes New Surgeons
Far Rockaway, New York, January 7, 2025 — St. John’s Medical Group, part of Episcopal Health Services (EHS), is pleased to announce the addition of two highly accomplished surgeons to its team.
Dr. Patrick DePippo has been appointed Chief of Vascular Surgery for EHS and will provide vascular care for St. John’s Medical Group. Joining him is Dr. Michael Stein, a double-board certified plastic surgeon specializing in plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. DePippo is widely respected in the field of Vascular Surgery and was recently named a 2024 Best Vascular Surgeon by Newsweek. With more than 30 years experience, he has treated patients with a wide variety of conditions such as peripheral vascular disease, carotid artery disease, aortic aneurysms, arterial insufficiency, and endovascular therapy. Dr. DePippo’s clinical research has been published in reputable medical journals and his compassionate and patient-centered approach has earned him the trust and admiration of his patients.
Dr. DePippo received his medical degree from Albany Medical College. He completed his residency in general surgery at New York Medical College and his fellowship in vascular surgery at Maimonides Medical Center.
Dr. Stein specializes in breast reconstruction, skin cancer reconstruction, nerve reconstruction and hand surgeries such as carpal tunnel and trigger finger releases. He is highly regarded for his dedication and excellence in patient care.
Dr. Stein earned his medical degree from the University of British Columbia and a Master’s in Applied Sciences, with a focus on patient safety and healthcare quality, from Johns Hopkins University. He completed his residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Ottawa and his fellowship in reconstructive microsurgery and aesthetic breast surgery at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital/Lenox Hill Hospital. Dr. Stein has a passion for advancing the field of plastic surgery through clinical research. He has over 60 publications, spoken at numerous conferences, and has received multiple research awards.
