The Department of Surgery at Episcopal Health Services provides comprehensive surgical care, including many minimally invasive procedures for a wide range of conditions.
Surgical Subspecialties
In addition to general surgery, we offer expertise in the following surgical subspecialties:
- Breast surgery, supported by an active breast clinic and including stereotactic and sentinel node capability
- Colon and Rectal surgery, including Colon Cancer Screenings
- Hand Surgery, which provides state-of-the-art, multidisciplinary and personalized care to our patients. Our team consists of Plastic Surgeons, Hand Therapists, Massage Therapists, Physiatrists and Social Workers.
- Head and neck surgery
- Orthopedic surgery, including minimally invasive joint replacement
- Otolaryngology or ear-nose-throat (ENT)
- Reconstructive Breast Surgery, which provides state-of-the-art, multidisciplinary care for women of all ages. Our team combines Breast Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Gynecology, Endocrinology, Family Medicine and Social Work to provide personalize, comprehensive care.
- Thoracic Surgery, which treats conditions in the chest and includes the less-invasive video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS)
- Vascular Surgery, which provides non-invasive testing to pinpoint areas of vascular blockage and disease
- Wound Care, including Hyperbaric therapy in which a patient breathes in pure oxygen in a pressurized room. Hyperbaric therapy is a useful approach to treating serious infections and wounds that aren’t healing well
