Medical Benefits
Episcopal Church Medical Trust provides eligible Hospital employees, and their benefit eligible dependents, with a choice of three tiers of medical insurance plans:

Dental Benefits
EHS offers three tiers of comprehensive dental programs through Guardian

Life Insurance And Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D)
EHS provides Life and AD&D Insurance coverage to all eligible employees at no cost to the employee. Amount of coverage is based on classification. The maximum amount of guaranteed coverage is $300,000
Long Term Disability
EHS provides Long Term Disability benefits to all eligible employees at no cost while disabled. Amount of coverage is based on classification.
Retirement: Employer Tax Deferred Retirement Plan
EHS offered eligible employee’s employer Paid Tax Deferred Annuity Plan. Upon satisfying one year of service employees become eligible, after completed 3 years of service 100% "vested. The contribution will be equal to 4% of eligible compensation.
Optional Benefits
Flexible Spending Accounts
EHS offers Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Dependent Childcare Accounts (DCA) as part of your benefits package. These plans allow you use pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible health care expenses for you, your spouse, and your eligible dependents. Here's how FSA and DCA work: Money is set aside from each paycheck pre-taxed. You are able to use pre-taxed dollars for approved benefits within the year for expenses such as medical co-pays and/or dependent care and child expenses. The annual maximum contribution amount for health care is $2,750. The annual maximum contribution amount for dependent child care is $5,000.
Qualified Parking Expense & Qualified Transit Plan
Eligible employees can save taxes by using pre-tax dollars on Mass transit and qualified parking expense.
Funds are withheld pre-tax from employee each pay period. The monthly maximum is $270.00.
Tax Deferred Annuities – Voluntary 403(b) Accounts
EHS offers eligible employees a TDA voluntary savings plan, 403(b). A TDA plan is an employer-sponsored defined contribution retirement plan to which the employee contributes a percentage, pre-tax, of his or her base salary. Through payroll deduction, one can make elective deferrals up to the maximum allowed by law.
Tuition Assistance
EHS offered eligible employee’ Tuition Assistance Program.
Eligible employees with one year of continuous employment are eligible for tuition reimbursement. The maximum allowance is $10,000 per calendar year.
