Visiting Hours
St. John’s Episcopal Hospital encourages and supports active involvement of patients’ families and significant others in the plan of care. Visiting guidelines are designed to promote a therapeutic and healing environment for all patients and to provide for a safe environment of our patients and visitors.Children must be 14 years of age or older to visit unless prior approval is obtained from the Unit Director/ Manager/Designee. Children should come at a scheduled time and no more than 2 children are allowed at a time. However, siblings of newborn babies are permitted to visit the Maternity Unit. An adult must accompany children at all times and in all areas of the hospital.

By Car
Click here for door-to-door directions. Parking is available in front of the hospital for a small fee. The entrance to the parking lot is located on Beach 20th Street.
By Bus
The following buses stop near the Hospital:

By Train
From the Subway – Take the “A” (8th Avenue Line) to the Last Stop – Mott Avenue in Far Rockaway. Take a taxi to the Hospital. If you prefer to walk, proceed to Beach 20th Street just south of the Station and make a right on Beach 20th Street. Proceed 4 blocks to Brookhaven Avenue.
From Penn Station (via the Long Island Railroad) – Take the Railroad to the Far Rockaway Station (last stop). From the station, take a taxi to the Hospital.
