Welcome
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Ob/Gyn Residency Program at St. John’s Episcopal Medical Center.
We are an ACGME accredited Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency, which includes 12 categorical resident positions. Our residents have exposure to academic generalists and subspecialists, all of whom are dedicated to resident education and serve as teachers and mentors.
Our goal is to train highly skilled physicians with a passion in serving underserved communities and we accomplish this by recruiting highly motivated physicians who appreciate the patient-centered approach to medical training. Physicians who love to learn, appreciate challenges, desire to work in a diverse community and aspire to excellence.
We provide you with the tools, resources, and opportunities to flourish through a rigorous program with an in-depth exposure to all aspects of obstetrics, gynecology and women’s health. Our program provides specialty services in all the major areas in Obstetrics and Gynecology, including but not limited to Breast Disease, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Complex Comprehensive Family Planning.
Our residents are integrated into a robust culture of patient safety with an interdisciplinary approach to patient care, and in addition, our residents also receive an education in research in women’s health. All residents complete research projects in the discipline of their choosing in their PGY-3 year.
