Wound Care/Podiatry Patient

I was really caught off guard because I was doing everything I was supposed to do as a diabetic, you know, eating right, and doing what I had to do, checking my blood sugars and trying not to cheat.

I went to St. John’s the next morning where I was kept for 2 or 3 days. The thing that fascinated me and made me comfortable was that St. John’s has Wound Care that is open all of the time. I really thought that I was going to lose my foot but the doctors at St. John’s told me not to worry.

They made me so comfortable and made my care personal and accessible. The doctors walked me through everything step by step, they stayed on top of cleaning the wound and I have so much gratitude for that.

After this experience, St. John’s has become my hospital. Dr. Tarantino and Dr. Joe gave me my life back when I didn’t think that was possible.
