Neonatal Intensive Care at Episcopal Health Services

At Episcopal Health Services (EHS), we are committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care for our smallest and most vulnerable patients. Our Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) offers specialized support for newborns who require advanced monitoring and medical attention after birth.

Our NICU team includes board-certified neonatologists, neonatal nurses, and pediatric specialists who care for infants born at 32 weeks gestation or later and weighing 1,500 grams (3.3 pounds) or more. We care for babies experiencing moderate medical challenges, including difficulty breathing, feeding, or maintaining body temperature. Our team uses a range of therapies, from noninvasive oxygen support to short-term intensive interventions, to ensure each infant receives the care they need to thrive.

For newborns who require a higher level of care, we coordinate seamlessly with Long Island Jewish Medical Center (LIJ) — our designated Regional Perinatal Center — to provide Level IV NICU services. This partnership ensures that even the most complex cases have access to expert care in a timely and coordinated manner.

At EHS, our goal is to deliver expert neonatal care in a nurturing, family-centered environment, supporting both infants and their families every step of the way.
