Volunteer

Volunteers, Interns and Students are important and valued members of the Episcopal Health Services (EHS) team. Our staff includes able mentors, eager work partners and people seeking to enrich their lives by helping others. Everyone and anyone can apply to serve as a Volunteer. EHS proudly partners with a large number of academic and professional schools. These partnerships make it possible for Interns to serve in our Nursing, Pharmacy, Health Information Management, Social Work, Psychiatry and other departments. Interns receive hands-on experience during their placement and earn school credit.

Please call the Volunteer Department at 718-869-7870 to find out if your school is an EHS partner. If it is not, we would be happy to work with you to pursue a relationship with your school. If you are enrolled in or a recent graduate of an academic, technical, or professional program, consider enhancing your skills and experience by serving as an EHS Student.

The Volunteer Department will work to tailor your service hours so that it fits your schedule, makes effective use of your talents and places you in departments that match your interests. Whether you serve as a Volunteer, Intern or Student you will find spending time at EHS is a good investment: an investment that pays dividends to you, our patients and staff and the residents of Far Rockaway, the Five Towns and Long Beach.

For additional information or questions, please contact the Volunteer Department at 718-869-7870 or volunteer@ehs.org.
